Jesus’ visit to India

Courtesy of YouTube, the following video appeared on my computer,  ‘Jesus in India, Tibet and Persia, an account missing from the Bible.’  It was published two months ago by  rainbowlightstudio.  The video attracted 524k views by 25 February, 2021.

The idea that Jesus visited India and other countries has been around for a long time.  At least 40 years ago I heard the idea that Jesus went to India and some guru taught Him His wisdom.

The question is, why doesn’t the Bible mention His visit to India, Tibet and Persia?  The reason is, it never happened.  The furthest Jesus travelled was to the region of Tyre and Sidon, Matthew 15:21.  He also went to Caesarea Philippi, Matthew 16:13.  Both places are to the north of Israel.  Jesus was not a great traveller, He was a great Teacher.

Scripture, the 66 books of the Bible, is our sole source of information about Jesus.  Was He in India, Tibet and Persia?  He said before His ascension,

‘All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit….’  Matthew 28:18-19

As Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father, His people went to those countries to spread the Gospel.

Conclusion

Jesus did become a globe trotter – through His people.  They went as missionaries into the whole world to spread the Good News about Jesus, the Saviour (it was not only to India, Tibet and Persia).  Glory to our wise Lord!

As you can see in the photo, there are two of us. We live and work together 24/7, studying and enjoying our grandchildren. Our passion is to know and understand what will happen after death. Is there a way to provide for and invest in that?

  1. Any word given on behalf of the life of Jesus, other than what can be verified by the four gospels can not be trusted as truth. Whether it be the truth or not.
If men start believing anything other than what the Word says, no matter how in line the words may seem, the Word will no longer be the Word of God anymore, but the word of men.

There was a teaching doing it’s rounds in the Church a few years ago, that Jesus recieved many years of training as a ‘Rabbi’, they say, just after being interviewed by the then elders and teachers of the temple in Jerusalem.

The interview is recorded in the Gospel but it stops there. So, it is probable according to human logic, to assume that Jesus ‘could have’ attended higher learning in the faith during the unrecorded years of his life. But, because it is not recorded, not even in one of the Gospel’s, we simply do not believe it. If we do, we weaken our faith. Faith is not subservient to human reason logic or intelligence. Or, by the latest AI (Artificial Intelligence) systems now surfacing on the internet, being put to work by human computer Intel sharp shooters in the here and now.
