Focus on God’s power.

A big issue in the Church is the Bible’s account of creation.  Did God actually create in six days, did He somehow create through long ages, or did it just evolve by chance?  Yet it is more important for us to focus on the next big creation of God which will last eternally.  Some of God’s acts of power are:

God will burn up this present universe,

‘But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.  The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare…. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.’  2 Peter 3:10,12b

God will create again,

‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.’  Revelation 21:1

God will have an eternal capital, the New Jerusalem,

‘The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him.  They will see His face, and His Name will be on their foreheads.’  Revelation 22:3b,4

Money will be no problem in that city,

‘The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.’ Revelation 21:18

Those things are only a small sample of what our super God promises for His people.  Because God created the first heavens and earth, the next will be no problem for Him.

Our Natural/Supernatural world, Part 2

We write to explain to ourselves and to others how wonderful the precious Word of God is.

The Gospel in three words,

‘Jesus saves sinners.’

Paul stated it in more words,

‘Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David.  This is my Gospel.’  2 Timothy 2:8

Now for the miracle:  God uses 66 books in total to explain this short Gospel.  Why?  Because the end is so magnificent.  Revelation 21,22 reveals it,  ΩA new heaven and earth, with no seas, no deserts, no uninhabitable mountains or forests.  Al global Garden of Eden.

A city of the size that has never been seen – the New Jerusalem, a cube of 2,200 kilometers or 1,400 miles.

The throne of God and the Lamb in the City.

The river of life and the tree of life in the City.

Billions upon billions of saints filled with the Holy Spirit, in the city.

Only peace, harmony, love, joy, fellowship, et cetera.

Another miracle: this will last eternally.  That means it will never end.

The other side of the coin?

‘But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars — their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulphur.  This is the second death.’ Revelation 21:8

The Key to all this is the 66 books.  No wonder it is such a miraculous Book.  Can we be blamed that we continue to write about the miracle and the majesty of God’s plan as explained in the Precious Word of God, the Bible?  Who wants to see anybody in the wrong place?  Not us.  So, please bear with us as we incessantly glorify our wonderful God and His gracious acts to reconcile us to Him.

The greatest Empire of all times

History teaches about big empires of which the British Empire was the greatest.  When it was at its peak, it controlled 23% of the world’s population.  In 1920 it covered 13.71 million square miles, almost a quarter of the world’s land area.

However, there is an Empire that is invisible at this stage, but when it becomes visible it will dwarf the size of the biggest empires.  The Bible describes it.  It is the Kingdom or Empire of God.  The whole earth will be its territory,

‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed…’ Revelation 21:1

It will have a capital city,

‘I saw the Holy City the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven…’  Revelation 21:2

It will have a King (or President),

“And I heard a loud voice saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them….’  Revelation 21:3

God, who dwells in heaven at present, will come down to live among His people.

Remember that we read about this in a Book that has been despised, rejected, banned and burned during much of its history (even up to our time).

How can a book that teaches this, be banned?  It only happens because the ruler of the world, the devil, knows he will never be part of that coming Empire.  So he fights against the truth and revelations of the Bible.  That is why we can have confidence that God’s plan for the eternal City, the eternal nation under His eternal Lordship, will come to fruition.
