It is. It is very real. We see it all the time. At present there is devastating drought in Europe and England, while other parts of the world are inundated with water. The question is, is climate change the cause of overuse of fossil fuels, the carbon footprint, et cetera? Or is the real reason to be found in the Bible?
God cursed the world after Satan became the ruler of this world. It is called entropy – increase in disorder. Why did God curse creation? This is God’s world and He will replace it with a new creation. It is illogical to replace something that is spanking new with another new thing. One replaces an old object with something new. The Bible specifically declares,
‘In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed….’ Hebrews 1:10,11a
Yes, climate change is real. The world is running down. However, there is another factor at work. Is it sin that influences nature?
