The miracle of the Triune God

 Although the Triune God is one in essence, the three Persons have different functions  for blessing man. ¹  What glory that we, as children of God, will have eternity to thank, worship, enjoy and continue a relationship with each member of the wonderful Godhead.   

#  Scripture reveals that since the Triune God have different functions, there are levels of authority,  

‘When He has done this, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him [God] who put everything under Him, so that God may be all in all.’  1 Corinthians 15:28

We notice Jesus’ submission to God the Father clearly in what Jesus said, 

‘For I [Jesus] did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me, commanded me what to say and how to say it.’  John 12:49

#  Someone summarised the different functions of the Triune God to save man, as follows, 

• The Father planned it. 
• The Son executed it. 
• The Holy Spirit applies it.  

#  We also see the glorious levels of authority for our benefit in what the Holy Spirit does, 

‘But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.’  John 14:26

#  The following is a reference that shows how our awesome Triune God works together for the benefit of man,

‘He [God] saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Saviour, so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.’  Titus 3:5b-7  

Conclusion

The glory is that one day we will experience the Triune God for all eternity,

‘The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him…. ‘The Spirit and the Bride say, Come [Lord Jesus]!’’  Revelation 22:3b, Revelation 22:17a
