Will Israel be destroyed?

In view of the overwhelming odds against Israel, both militarily and in world opinion, what are the chances they will endure as a nation in their promised homeland, Israel?  The clamour to annihilate the Jews is incessant.

God answers in various ways.  One such assurance that Israel will not be destroyed is written in the prophet Joel,

‘In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.  There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land….’  Joel 3:1-2a

Note the,

‘…my inheritance’

‘…my people:’ three times

‘…my land’

There is no confusion.  The land Israel, that God promised to Abraham and his descendants, is ‘God’s land.’  The descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are ‘God’s people.’

Many might ask whether they can trust God’s words in the Bible?  The answer is, ‘Yes.’  Otherwise there would be no Jewish nation that lives in the land of Israel.  The Word of God describes their origin and their inheritance, the land Israel (that was carved up).

The biggest evidence, however, is the unfounded hatred against God’s people.  It runs parallel to the hatred for God, by people who are influenced by the ruler of this world, Satan.

Will Israel be destroyed?  Not according to God!

As you can see in the photo, there are two of us. We live and work together 24/7, studying and enjoying our grandchildren. Our passion is to know and understand what will happen after death. Is there a way to provide for and invest in that?

  1. Firstly Israel will not be destroyed on the grounds of that God’s word that will not return void and that all His promises are yes and Amen.
Yet, they are persecuted by just about everyone. Why? I can only guess. I think by Abraham rejecting Ishmael created a massive force of unforgivness that was passed down to the present day, combined with the still standing ‘eye for an eye’ policy still in power through the Muslin nations inciting Jihad war against the Jews. They often declare they will never cease waring against Israel.
Hamas often declare ceasefire to lick their wounds and restock their weapons, but with every attack thus far they have been outwitted by the Jews every time.
Hitler took another angle, Luther documented an accusal of the Jews commiting Deocide, (the murder of God) when they crucified Christ. Luther sited the scripture where the Jewish leaders cried out to Pilate, ‘let His blood be upon our hands’.
The whole world stood by as the SS systematically unconscionably murdered 6 million innocent Jewish men women and children, believing the enemy was in their blood.
The fear of death will drive men to do the most unthinkable deeds.

Adam and Eve were reminded of God’s words when He said ‘surely you will die if you eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil’. The tried to hide themselves from God after they had disregarded God’s advice. Could it be, they thought He was going to kill them? Fear of death and the will to survive are very powerful motives that will cause man to do whatever it takes to survive when under threat.
Could it be that man’s hatred for the God of Israel was rooted in the threat of death by disobedience, and disregard for their very own Fathers Wisdom.
One day we will know for sure.

    Blessings Gerhard and Alida.

  2. Pat, thanks. Never realized that it must be true that Adam and Eve were scared God would kill them. That was the command, ‘Do not eat, or you will die.’ I am sure it fits with Revelation 16:15 which urges the believers to stay awake and keep his/her clothes so they will not go naked and be shamefully exposed. What else can it refer to but eternal death if one goes naked? Thanks. That was great. Agree with all you say. Blessings.
