Is the Revelation blessing real?

The special revelation God gave to Jesus (the Book of Revelation) includes the following blessing,

‘Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.’  Revelation 1:3

And,

‘Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.’  Revelation 22:7

The revelation of God includes future events,

‘Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.’  Revelation 1:19

Two predictions of massive changes:

1. Satan’s kingdom will be replaced by the Kingdom of God,

‘The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign for ever and ever.’  Revelation 11:15

2. The present universe will be replaced,

‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away….’  Revelation 21:1

The question: why should we trust God’s prediction of future events?

The answer: God promised in the past, and we witness that He kept His promise.

An example of a fulfilled prophecy,

“On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, ‘to your descendants I give this land….'”  Genesis 15:18

The promise was that the land Israel belongs to Abraham’s descendants, the Jews.  Genesis 15:18-19 and Joshua 1:4 describe the borders in detail.  The Israelites were exiled from their land by the Assyrians and they never went back.  Then, some years later, Judah was exiled by the Babylonians, but a remnant did return to Israel after 70 years.  In 70 AD the Romans, under Titus, largely scattered the people of Israel all over the world.  Yet God promised,

‘…I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.’  Ezekiel 36:24

That happened in 1948 when the Jews came back to their promised land, Israel.  God’s promise, made to Abram around 2000 BC, was fulfilled.

 Conclusion

When God promises, God delivers.   We can trust the prophecies in the book of Revelation.  The question is, are there more predictions of God that came true?

As you can see in the photo, there are two of us. We live and work together 24/7, studying and enjoying our grandchildren. Our passion is to know and understand what will happen after death. Is there a way to provide for and invest in that?
