Satan’s long war against God, Part 5

Part 5, The fossils, the flood and the future

Thousands of fish fossils have been discovered.  The only way fish could have fossilised in the rocks, is if they were suddenly covered with sediment that subsequently became rock.  Fish rot quickly.  The fish fossils testify to the flood.

Why is the flood a controversial issue?

The flood reminds us of the Second Coming of Jesus,

‘As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.’  Matthew 24:37; Luke 17:26

If we have the physical testimony of the rocks concerning the flood; if we have the words of Jesus concerning the flood; why is the flood a controversial issue?  Our common enemy, Satan, does not like the message of the flood because it reminds him of the end times that spell out his end.

God revealed the end in the book of Revelation

  • The introduction to Revelation,

‘The revelation of Jesus Christ, that God gave Him to show His servants what must soon take place….’  Revelation 1:1

  • The Holy Spirit regards knowledge about the end time events as so important that He promises a special blessing to those who read it,

‘Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.’  Revelation 1:3

Why must we know about end time events?

  • Just as it was important that Noah had details about God’s plan to destroy the creation with the flood (so that he obeyed and built the ark to save his family), so it is important for us to know God’s final plan, so that we prepare for it, have an eternal perspective and live accordingly.  The end time prophecy reveals what is going to happen,

‘The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign for ever and ever.’  Revelation 11:15

  • The Holy Spirit regards this revelation of God’s final accomplishment of His purpose so important that He testifies,

‘…If anyone adds anything to [these words], God will add to him the plagues described in this book.  And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which is described in this book.’ Revelation 22:18-19

Conclusion

The universal judgment by water was a real event.  The future universal judgment by fire will be a real event.  The Judgment Throne will be a real event.  Satan will be the loser all the way.  He hates it, and spreads anti-flood propaganda.  It will change nothing of God’s designs.  The followers of Jesus also have an ‘ark,’ Jesus, to see that we land on the ‘new, clean’ earth, just as Noah and his family did.

As you can see in the photo, there are two of us. We live and work together 24/7, studying and enjoying our grandchildren. Our passion is to know and understand what will happen after death. Is there a way to provide for and invest in that?
