It is not always easy for disciples of Jesus to keep their faith in the times we live in. There are many voices inside and outside the Church that shout, ‘the Bible is not truth and is not from God.’ Those voices directly oppose 2 Peter 1:20 that says, ‘…men [the writers of the Bible] spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.’
There is a very simple test to see whether all 66 books of the Bible are true and part of Scripture: Logic.
- If there are errors in the Bible, which parts are wrong?
- If there are small errors, why can’t there be big errors?
- If the Holy Spirit who inspired the writing, made one error, who says He didn’t make more?
- If certain people can decide what is true, why can’t anybody decide what is true?
This means, the Bible is either true or false. It is either 100% or 0% correct. It can be nothing in between, because who decides which parts are true and which parts are not? For example, if Adam was not a real person, why was Jesus? If the Exodus is fiction, why is the history of Jesus true?
Conclusion
If we change one thing in the Bible we can eventually change anything and everything. That effectively demolishes the Bible. There have been attempts to destroy the Bible for thousands of years. Nobody ever succeeded. It tells us it is a supernatural book which is true from Genesis to Revelation. It is 100% reliable.
